Elite Career and Technology Center was birthed as a legal Non-Profit Corporation on 10/01/2010. Elite Career and Technology Center (ECTC) operates as a non-profit certified training organization in the State of North Carolina. Through its foundation/government grants and other public donations, ECTC will further its exempt purpose by providing educational services to low income communities that will enable participating families to increase earned income, reduce or eliminate the need for welfare assistance, make progress toward achieving economic independence and increase their social skills to help improve living conditions and promote their overall quality of life.
ECTC will strive to be an organization that will affect change and growth in underprivileged communities by addressing the high school drop-out dilemma and the needs of the working poor and the unemployed. We are determined to bring our educational services to low income neighborhoods who normally would not have access to or even knowledge that an organization like ours exist.
We at ECTC believe that there is a need for student and adult programs that provide strategies for developing a career pathway. Many of the existing programs force individuals to attend a community college in order to succeed in an industry pathway. This is an obstacle to many who have previously struggled in a traditional educational environment. ECTC allows clients to develop career skills and a desired career pathway, and then apply those new skills toward an industry certification that is recognized worldwide.
ECTC will work to help students and adults overcome the education and skill barriers that have hindered their success in becoming self-sufficient by linking them with resources like personality test, career assessments, software training opportunities, education prep (such as “how to study”), job training/placement organizations and counseling with certified life coaches.
It is our goal to educate and empower youth between the ages of 13 and 17 and all interested adults with 21st Century skills that will enable them to successfully compete academically and in today’s workplace. We will make our services easily accessible by building community partnerships with recreation centers, schools and churches located in low income neighborhoods.
